VMware 5.5 Update 1 – Problemas con NFS

Desde la pasada semana, se vienen observando muchos clientes y comentarios en Twitter de empresas que han actualizado a VMware vSphere 5.5 Update 1 y usan NFS como Datastores principales. Si bien el viernes reportaba a través de twitter un comentario y no había mucha más información:

Hoy os puedo dejar más información y el KB oficial (2076392) y nos muestra las siguientes trazas en el log:

Y podemos tener los siguientes problemas, muy graves, debidos a las desconexiones:

Intermittent APDs for NFS datastores are reported, with consequent potential blue screen errors for Windows virtual machine guests and read-only filesystems in Linux virtual machines.

Esta incidencia afecta a todos los Datastore conectados por NFS y se trata de una incidencia crítica, la recomendación por parte de VMware, de momento, es quedarse en la versión ESXi 5.5 GA y no hagamos update a 5.5 Update 1.
