Saludos amigos, Zimbra lanzaba ayer su Patch 4 para Zimbra Collaboration 8.6, entre todas las novedades destacan el soporte oficial para Microsoft Edge, solamente en ZCS 8.6 P4 como es lógico, y muchos Bugs corregidos para EWS, la funcionalidad que nos permite sincronizar nuestros Mac OS con Zimbra, usando Outlook o las aplicaciones nativas de OS X.
Cómo siempre, se recomienda realizar una Copia de Seguridad o snapshot, o ambos antes de aplicar el Parche. Puedes descargar el nuevo Parche en los siguientes Links.
- Descargar el parche para Network Edition o para la versión Open Source Edition
Siempre es aconsejable leer las Release Notes.
Todos los clientes que utilizan Zimbra Collaboration 8.6.0 deben actualizar a este nuevo Parche 4. Este parche es acumulativo, lo que quiere decir que incluye todas las mejoras y bugs resueltos del Patch 1, 2 y 3.

Tengo un poco de lio con el concepto web app. Mi instalación de zimbra la tengo en tres servidores LDAP/MTA/MAILBOX dice que el parche se instala en el mailbox y webapps
El mailbox tiene la consola de administración y el MTA tiene el weblclient que lo tengo publicado en internet tras un firewall. ¿tengo que instalar el parche en ambos?

A no ser que estes usando uno de los nodos con MTA/PROXY y el SplitWeb Services, tienes el mailbox y el webapps en los Mailbox solamente, nada en las MTA, que como mucho tendran el proxy, pero no afecta. Por lo que debes instalarlo en el Mailbox solamente.

Estoy entrando con fuerza con Zimbra NE , y mi consulta si estos patch al ejecutarlo es recomendable algun backup ?
o es que el mismo zimbra patch ejecuta un proceso que nos deja confiados que lo realizo .. por se acaso.

Primero que nada perdona si la pergunta no está en elugar adecuado pero no encontraba donde hacerla. Te comento rapidamente a ver si puedes echar una manilla.
Tengo Centos 7 y la ultima versión de Zimbra instalada. También tengo un servidor DNS (bind9) corriendo y correctamente configurado, o eso parece ya que resuelve perfectamente cuando se le pregunta por los registros MX o A. El problema es que no recibo correos. Ni si quiera en local y de la cuenta de administrador a ella misma. Parece ser que se envían porque se quedan en la carpeta de “enviados” pero no hay manera de verlos. Por otra parte si intento acceder al “in:mailbox” desde la consola de comandos tampoco sale nada…
¿Cabrias por donde puede ir el problema? Esta todo acabate de instalar y no he configurado nada esperando a solucionar esto.

En cuanto llegue a casa vuelvo a comprobar que resuelva bien y que la configuración DNS esté correcta. Sea cual sea el resultado te lo comentare por aquí. Muchas gracias por la respuesta tan rápida.

Finalmente he conseguido solucionar el problema. Volví a comprobar el servidor DNS, archivos hosts…etc…y estaba todo correctamente asi que he seguido buscando posible soluciones y por fin encontré la encontré. Te pongo los tres comandos que he utilizado y son los que me han solucionado el problema;
zmlocalconfig -e postfix_lmtp_host_lookup=native
zmprov ms mtaserver.com zimbraMtaLmtpHostLookup native
zmmtactl restart
Sustituyendo obviamente mtaserver.com por mi dominio. Todo funcionando perfectamente y espero que si alguien tiene el mismo problema lo pueda solucionar con eso.

Tengo varios equipos mac y he tenido muchos problemas, que recomendaciones me puedes dar para darle buen uso al ews que uso en las aplicaciones nativas de mac y en Outlook para mac.

EWS para OS X tiene varios problemas, hay varios Bugs abiertos, y puedes consultar tambien las Release Notes. Supongo que si estas usando EWS, es porque tienes licencia, lo mejor es contactar con Soporte y presionar para que lo solucionen lo antes posible.

Estimado Jorge, efectivamente el parche soluciona muchos bugs. Pero te comento que me causo uno, ahora en muchos correos que estoy redactando me salen con codigos html al parecer, algo como esto:
